By far my most requested hunger games character.

Rue was such a beautifully written character. even though she wasn't in the book, or series, as long as some of the other characters, she still left a lasting impression in my mind. Katniss' relationship with Rue was one of the only things that made me like Katniss. I thought that for most of the books she was mostly a brat. i felt like the movie rushed their relationship to the point that you didn't really understand it. which makes me happy that i read the book


Anyway!!! I hope you like her.

can i just say how shocked i was that people were genuinely upset that rue was portrayed by an African American girl. here is katniss' description of rue word for word:

"And most hauntingly, a twelve-year-old girl from District 11. She has dark brown skin and eyes, but other than that, she's very like Prim in size and demeanor."

Even I had a friend tell me that they envisioned Rue as a TAN girl. i was just like ". . . . . . .umm okay".
